Created by and for residents, the Local Network (LN) is an internet station that streams sound and platforms image, text, visual, and graphic-based programs including music, video, photos, drawings, paintings, community news and information, and real or imagined stories.

Youth, adults, and families interested in creating LN programs can participate in free technical and creative workshops for program creators and viewers hosted by Project Eats. In these workshops they learn how to use equipment, digital tools, and create programs for LN. Project Eats will also provide free internet access to Brownsville, Brooklyn residents on the BRLN site on Chester Street (2023) and on Livonia (2024) and 2 FM radio stations within several blocks of Chester or Livonia LN locations. Project Eats will then expand the network to the community near the BELN site on Third Avenue (2023) in Belmont, Bronx.

LN provides every resident with an opportunity to shape, make, and document what they are interested in, who they are, and how they imagine and want their community and the world to be through their mind and eyes. Through the participation of residents creating by and for each other, LN is a network of care for all of us.
