ABOUT

This rooftop farm with soil-based raised beds is located atop the Essex Crossing apartment building. This unique urban farm not only cultivates a variety of seasonal produce but also hosts engaging programs and events.

Programs and Events: 

  • Farm stand Tuesdays and Saturdays, May through November

  • Student run Farmstand - 2 Months out of the year (July/August)

  • After school programing in Essex market utilizing kitchen to teach

  • Partnership with New Design High School to run PEAS (culinary comp, training and farming, apply for workforce development) 

  • Essex Stand, on Broome between Clinton and Suffolk. Twice weekly on Tuesday from 1:00-6:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00am-2:00pm.
